Nur Muhammad : Mr. Nur has had a distinguished professional career as a civil servant of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) over a span of 34 years.
He started his professional career in the Bangladesh Civil Service in the Police Cadre in 1982 and was at the top 2% of the successful candidates in the nationwide Superior Service Examination. He began his career as an Assistant Superintendent of Police and soon was recognized by all around as an outstanding Police Officer.
He rose to become the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the highest position in the Police Cadre. He served the Police cadre with distinction. Besides, he served as a proud member of the Bangladesh contingent in the UN Peacekeeping Missions abroad.
He was made the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Morocco. He carried out this diplomatic assignment with consummate ease. Upon his return from Morocco after completion of this Ambassadorial assignment, he was placed in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
He became the Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. He served this Ministry with extraordinary leadership skills until he retired from service in 2015. Now, he is a ‘Co-Founder’ and Managing Partner of Centre for Policy Research, Bangladesh.

He completed his MBA (MIS) in 2004 then he spent more than 10 years in an ‘Exploratory Research’ on ‘A New (Matrix) Method of Economic Analysis’. He also developed the ‘Framework of IIC (Innovation and Innovator Cell). He always loves to work with creative people, creation of knowledge, creation of Intellectual Property (IP) and its commercialization and industrialization in Bangladesh and beyond. Ishtiaque Zaman, PhD : Dr. Ishtiaque has more than 35 years of diverse and rich International professional experiences in Government Service, International Organization, Charitable Institute, Teaching and Research etc.
He worked as an international professional at icddr,b as Head, External Relations and Institutional Development Department. He led a multinational team with distinction. He was the Project Director and Team Leader of a large multi-year research project involving icddr,b and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh. Earlier, he worked in the capacity of General Manager in Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). He was most recently the Managing Director & CEO of MIDAS.
He started his professional career in the Bangladesh Civil Service in the Administrative Cadre in 1981 and was at the top 2% of the Successful candidates in the nationwide Superior Service Examination. He began his career as an Assistant Commissioner and also performed duties as a Magistrate.
He obtained PhD from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. He specializes on Negotiating strategies, especially on turning adversities into advantages. He also had the experience of teaching undergraduate International Relations Courses at the California State University, Dominguez Hills as Lecturer and advanced undergraduate International Relations Courses at the University level in the United States. He has been an international consultant for USAID/ Washington, DFID/ UK, Global Health, among others.
He is a regular Guest Speaker at the Foreign Service Academy, Dhaka for Foreign Service Cadre officers and BCS Administration Academy, Planning Academy for Civil Service Cadre officers for the past twenty years. Now, he is a Senior Partner of Centre for Policy Research, Bangladesh.
